Lifeline Publications and Michael Linnell. Michael has worked for Lifeline for over 25 years. During that time he has been responsible for Lifeline’s media work, managed both national and international research and communications projects and has researched, written, designed and illustrated most of Lifeline’s publications. He trained for his first degree in Fine art as as a painter, performance artist and film-maker and also has an MSc in Health Education. Before he started at Lifeline, Michael was working as a town artist and comedy acrobat.

Fitting into the future
Without a vision, serious self-criticism is impossible
It is easy to sneer at long-term exercises in 'visioning', but a serious, integrated approach to tackling deep-rooted inequality and deprivation is, quite frankly, inconceivable without a dedicated, explicit and strongly aspirational long-term plan. So although 'Treatment may Work' and 'Treatment may be Good' it does not in any way excuse us, as an industry, from developing a solid critique of all those things about treatment that don't work and aren't good...
